iF YOU WANT ANY KIND OF APPROPRIATE BILLING OR ANY RESPECTFUL SERVICE AT ALL FROM A DOCTOR'S OFFICE STAFF, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They completely screwed up my billing and took months to process the claim with my insurance, then wanted months more to refund a $500 deposit that wasn't due them. Meanwhile, they don't care if I eat. Horrible place - just horrible in termns of rudeness and ineffective service. Too bad, the doctor's fairly good,, but you shouldn't have to go through months of grief and disrespectful treatment to have access to him. RUN FROM THIS PLACE. There are plenty of good doctors in town whose staff have respect for their patients.......

The office staff is just awful. They drag their feet on prior authorizations, cop an attitude with patients. I feel Dr. Wiesz is very procedure happy. For an office that charges $300 for a quick consult, they don't even check your weight. If you have gastro issues, you probably have some weight fluctuations going on. One would think that was relevant to your diagnosis/treatment. He is focused on my quality of life but we have been working together for a year and I am still struggling. I do believe he cares about his patients, and I don't feel rushed, but in some cases maybe brushed off. Messages left with staff do not get to the doctor. I think they have more patients than they can handle. I have been seeking suggestions for a different gastro specialist.

waited 1:30 hrs to be seen and then was hurried through visit. He lost interest in me after I told him his last suggestion didn't work anymore. Was walking out the door as I was asking questions re possible upcoming dangerous intestinal surgery. Dr.W. has changed. He used to be on time, spent time and was caring

My experience was tragic! After 2 agonizing months of micro-managing the progress of Dr. Weisz' office staff clearing authorization from my insurance company for medication caused me to make a decision to go elsewhere. Dr. Weisz is so busy, that he cannot oversee his office staff to ensure that his patients are getting the treatment he prescribes. The office staff personnel moving at a snail's pace caused my insurance company to deny the claim for the treatment plan Dr. Weisz prescribed. The insurance company needed further documentation and Dr. Weisz' office failed to provide it to them. What was most upsetting about the 2 months of fussing with his staff and trying to get pre-authorization was that Dr. Weisz didn't show any genuine concern about the denial. He perceived himself to be disconnected and unconcerned. He offered to have me talk to the office staff AGAIN to correct the denial. No thanks ..... I am going elsewhere!

I felt rushed through my first visit! I felt like a number that needed wiped of his desk. Just get me off his plate kind of feeling. Empty my inbox so I can see the next patient and go home.

Just called the Doctor today to make appt. ASAP as I have cirrhosis of the liver. My primary said to get in ASAP. Told the receptionist my problem & said oh wow let me see what we have. She gets back on the line & asked me what Insurance I have & I told her Medicare. Puts me on hold again, gets back on & said sorry we aren't taking new patients. Hmm, It's in plain site on his web, web MD, Vitals, etc. SomethingSomething just doesn't sound right here. Very unhappy since I can't wait that long & he was recommended to me. I've been to two other Doctors which was a joke. I won't even get into that. Any suggestions? :(

I came to Dr. Weisz after having a sudden flare-up of severe abdominal swelling and inflammation. Having seen another GI specialist for the condition who spent 5 minutes with me and then tried to sell me on a $3,000 endoscopy, my visit with Dr. Weisz was a breath of fresh air. He spent at least 30 minutes giving me a thorough exam and health review and determined that expensive diagnostic procedures were not warranted by my symptoms. He gave me dietary advice to see me through the flare up and scheduled me for a follow-up. He was correct that my situation resolved itself by "resting" my digestive tract. I so appreciate his professionalism and breadth of knowledge.
