Dr. Nicolas Martin, DPM

He did my right foot and left me in severe pain and severe nerve damage. Wanted to amputate foot and NO I didn't do. So he stated to me his family more important and I am now left with severe pain.. nerve damage. I made appt a yr later and came down with pneumonia and he told his asst. I was to find someone else . Needs to leave his career.. He leaves you in a server mess and made statement that he would always be here to fix. Lies

I have permanent nerve damage because of this doctor performing a surgery he probably shouldn't have. To this day I have constant pins and needles in my left foot. I can't stand for anything to touch it. To make matters worse, he stopped billing my insurance after the surgery for follow ups, I assume to cover tracks and hide evidence because I mentioned the tingling/pins and needles immediately after the surgery. After about a year of this, he admitted the damage was permanent. He then moved and left the office. He dragged everything out while not reporting to insurance to make sure by the time I realized there was nothing legally that could be done about it. Now I'm living with nerve damage for the rest of my life. I was only about 35 when this happened. I regret doing this surgery so much and it didn't even solve the initial problem, only made it worse.

I saw Dr. Martin on numerous occasions in regards to having bilateral metatarsal pain. His neurologist and himself diagnosed me with bilateral tarsal tunnel and Dr. Martin said that I need to have nerve decompression done through a procedure called tarsal tunnel release. After a year and a half of contesting the diagnosis, I agreed to surgery. Dr. Martin performed the surgical release on my right foot and while doing so cut our damaged my lateral plantar nerve and now I suffer from extreme pain on the outside of my right foot as well as numbness down the right side of my right foot as well as both my fourth and fifth toe. He told me that he came nowhere near that nerve yet if you look at where the incision was made, it was directly above where the nerve sits. I now suffer from even worse pain due to his inept surgical skills. He has taken no responsibility for the damage he did. Unfortunately, he’s protected by the law and I can get no recourse from him for the life long damage and… pain he caused. I suggest Dr. Martin stick to trimming toenails.
