This doctor is young and I hope that additional training makes her a better physician. She misdiagnosed my child, made the child feel bad about being ill, told us our child was "hysterical" and referred to us the parents as "obstructive". A year later my child was finally diagnosed at another hospital with a serious physical abnormality that needed to be repaired by surgical intervention. This abnormality explained the symptoms viewed by Dr Coufal as "hysteria" and the surgery has had a positive impact on the physical illness. Sometimes doctors need to look beyond their own prejudice and use an evidence based approach to helping patients. The data was there. One only had to look.
