Dr. Nicole Lashawn Dickens, MD

I was a patient of this “doctor” when I had what could best be described as a nervous breakdown. Pretty much the absolute worst time of my life. She made it worse! No concise answers to my questions regarding my treatment and medications, didn’t listen to me when I was reacting poorly to the medications, barely listened to anything I had to say during our “sessions”, and never fully diagnosed me with anything I left just as confused and depressed as the day I sought help. She’s rather self absorbed and truly doesn’t have any time for her patients. I don’t know how this hack can practice medicine! STAY AWAY!

I saw her work she's awesome and down to earth.I would recommend her anytime.she's the greatest.

What doctor makes any decisions about keeping a patient there for as long as possible if she finds that her patient needs to be kept for observation but how does one know about a patient if one is not there and the staff isn't seen around but hiding behind their offices. This job may be stressful but a psychiatrist should always be friendly and trustworthy. You don't drug up a patient and leave them for an absent observation. SO many questions and so little answers. There was never a clear answer about anything. We kept getting "I don't know" for every single question. If a doctor has kept a patient for more than 7 days and she doesn't know what the patient has by now...there's a problem with the doctor. Go back to school or re-evaluate your own self and purpose in life. Also, the hospital staff was making judgment and mockery of patients who was in dire need of help. You don't ignore a patient who is having panic attacks. Don't say "Oh...she's pretending. Oh...she's gonna make herself… throw up now. Get up! Get up!" What if she didn't have a panic attack and it was something way more serious? That person could die! You're in this field for a reason: to help people get better not keep them in there for your own "fun" reasons. This whole operation needs to shut down if it is being run by a doctor and staff like this.

A patient's relationship with a physiatrist is one built on trust. Dr. Dickens misled me on more than one occasion and blatantly lied to me on another occasion. I've heard that she is a fabulous doctor but that was not my experience at all. I would not recommend her to anyone.

A patient should be able to trust a psychiatrist. I got this woman in lie after lie about my treatment. I never got a clear plan.
