Dr. Emil is compassionate and caring AND a very knowledgable rheumatologist. That is a hard to beat combination. I have had lupus for a very long time. She trusts me to know when my disease is in a flare, but always back up her work with labs and exams. She works in partnership with her patients, which is very important for a doctor who treats people with chronic illness. ABQ is a bad place to get sick. There just aren't enough doctors for the population. We are lucky to have Dr. Emil here.

It was a huge loss to Presbyterian Hospital when Dr. Emil left to UNM she is a great Dr. who truly cares about her patients

Dr. Emil is absolutely wonderful! She is not only kind, but listens carefully and answers any questions you may have. I had not had a good experience with rheumatologists in the past, but she has restored my faith. I cannot say enough good things about this doctor.

upon the first visit with the doctorshe seemed to be very thorough and accurate with the diagnosis and treatment she was prescribing but with subsequent visits and follow ups it became more and more evident that my needs were not being addressed nor was I being properly diagnosed and treated
