Dr. Nicole Josephine Hraniotis, MD

The BEST psychiatrist I have worked with over the many years that I have been on medication. She sets up the appointment so you have time to talk about your life in a real and meaningful way and she can prescribe in a way that makes sense - so many psychiatrists give you less than a half hour and it is like a stream of yes/no questions so you just feel they are checking boxes as fast as possible. Dr. Nikki treats you like a real human! She is willing to work with you on medication levels that help you the best. She does do mostly online appointments, though some in-person are available I think. The only warning is that you opt to have the prescriptions in the mail make sure you get them AND ask for the receipts if you are sending them to insurance (I suggest asking for 2 receipts - one for your records) all in the same mailing. If you want her to call in the prescriptions to the pharmacy make sure you get the right ones and all (esp. if more than one prescription) when picking them… up and do so as soon as you can same day preferable. Her office manager has a terse voice on the phone but if you send in your check in advance on time she loves you! They hold the check until your appointment for online appointments. RECOMMEND!

If this were two years ago I would be giving Dr. Hraniotis five stars because I used to think she was a great doctor. Now I feel like she does not care actually about people, she is extremely unprofessional and judgemental for someone who is supposed to be helping people manage their mental health. I stopped seeing her for awhile because I was trying to make a go of things without all the mental health meds. Recently though my anxiety has been so bad I feel like I need to go back on something to help with that. I called and left multiple messages and did not hear back. I only received a call from her office manager after I had my therapist call on my behalf as well because I was being ignored. Then I was told that she would not give me an appointment because I use medical marijuana for pain management for a spine injury. The office manager said she had to ask the doctor and she'd get back to me. Instead of reaching back out to me directly Dr. Hraniotis left my therapist a message… saying she will not see me because I use marijuana. The fact that I was not even notified myself was so beyond unprofessional. The absurdity of not seeing me as a patient because I use medical marijuana is just ridiculous. Guess she would rather I be addicted to opiods for my pain. Plus the fact that I had to have my therapist reach out in order to even get a call back is atrocious. As a mental health professional you would think ignoring people entirely would be a bad idea, but I guess she doesn't care. I am so disappointed in Dr. Hraniotis and her judgement and unprofessionalism.

The woman who answers the phone, office manager I believe, is a complete nightmare. She’s beyond rude and talks to you like an idiot. I can’t say much about the doctor because never made it that far to see her as her next appointment was months out. Thought psychiatrists were in business of wanting to help people. I seriously question the doctors judgment when she has this woman as office manager.

Trying to schedule an appointment but secretary is extremely rude and unprofessional.

Awesome psychiatrist. Kind, caring, thorough, and knowledgeable. The world needs more physicians like Dr. Nicki!
