Nicole Joslin, MS, APRN, ANP-C, PMHNP-BC

Nicole Joslin, MS, APRN, ANP-C, PMHNP-BC is dually certified as both an Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner across the lifespan. She received both her graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Connecticut. She then went on to pursue her Post-Master’s education in Psychiatry from East Carolina University after witnessing firsthand the inter-connectedness of mental and physical well-being and how mental health profoundly impacted her patients’ health while working with them in the primary care setting . Currently, she is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Psychiatric Nurses’ Association (APNA), and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing.Nicole has over 20 years of experience in the medical field, working as a nurse practitioner in private practice in internal medicine as well as a full nursing career including inpatient, outpatient and home health care. She …also served as clinical faculty for the University of Connecticut School of Nursing. She prides herself on utilizing a holistic approach to caring for people, with a focus on the therapeutic alliance between patient and provider and has been the proud recipient of patient satisfaction awards. She believes that the path to wellness includes a mind-body connection with a focus on mindfulness. It is a lifelong dream of Nicole’s to see the stigma attached to mental health come to an end. She would also like for all people suffering from a mental health condition to be free from shame or guilt when trying to cope with a mental illness either as an individual or a family member of someone struggling with a mental health condition.
