Dr. Nicole Anil Palekar, MD

My husband was very very sick and had been treated by several doctors that could not determine a good course of action. After months of agony, pain and literally wasting away, we found Dr. Nicole Palakar. Immediately she looked at the test results we brought in and discussed a new strategy with us. She was quick in action and to the point. I am so thankful that we were highly recommended by our Primary Care Doctor to Dr Nicole Palakar. Her new strategy saved his life. I will eternally be grateful to her professionalism and speed at which she handled the situation. Not once did she bad mouth the other doctors that we had been going to for months. She was professional and took care of business. This is the type of Doctor that you want to treat your loved ones. Dr. Palakr gets results and is a top professional all the way.

Rude and condescending attitude. Does not listen to patients. I was referred to Cleveland Clinic by my gastroenterologist after several tests could not find my problem, all of my tests were faxed to her and yet when I had my appointment she claimed that she had not received them (I could see that they were on her computer). He ordered a test that required eating either an egg sandwich or enfamil plus even though she was told that I cannot tolerate either. When the scheduler informed her of this she ordered that I eat oatmeal, which all the prep info states is not an acceptable alternative.

Perhaps medically Dr. Palekar is competent, however her obvious lack of interest in me as a person made my office visit awkward and extremely difficult. She’s cold, arrogant and condescending. I would never attempt to see her again or recommend her to anyone.

I have seen this doctor twice. The first time she took a very brief history, called in a script and told me to schedule an endoscopy. Her surgical calendar was booked for 3 weeks so I scheduled with another Cleveland Clinic doctor the following week. I went for a follow up with her the next day and she basically said she could not even really discuss it without the pathology report. She implied I should have no symptoms based on the report and maybe I should go see an ENT. Rude, not kind, not interested in my concerns. I'm not going back.

Dr Palekar was very responsive when I saw her. She had me wear a monitor to see the extent of my problem and based on that and a change in my diet my symptoms have been greatly reduced. I will return to see her if I need to.

I drove over 2 hours to see this doctor as a new patient. She spent just under 10 minutes with me, was very disengaged, didn't care to hear about my medical history, and treated my concerns as frivolous and non important. Then when she was asked for a prescription so I could get testing that she ordered closer to my home she was loud and obnoxious in the hallway and refused to accommodate me. Very non chalant, no compassion, and the attitude that she could care less. Horrible experience. Should've listened to the other reviews here and saw someone else. Waste of time, gas and money.
