Dr. Nicole F Sears, DO

Dr Sears is beyond negligent & put me in an extremely dangerous situation by changing my anxiety medication without discussing or even notifying me. I picked up my RX to see she changed my 15 per month 1 mg pill to SEVEN .5 mg pills. I could have had life-threatening withdrawal symptoms. She had ZERO concern about some other significant medical issues I was having (nausea/abdominal pain/unexplained weight loss of 10+ lbs) & refused to send me to a GI & neurology specialist when I requested them. I was having stroke-like symptoms after a two-day horrific migraine. Nope, wouldn't get me an MRI or neurology. Therefore, I paid out of pocket for one and they found a lesion and white matter in my brain. Thank God I found a compassionate, caring & concerned MD after her who gave me these referrals. All of the aforementioned is documented in emails to Dr Sears and Kaiser.

Dr. Sears is very reluctant to give referrals to specialists, putting the patient in a perilous condition. Based on my experience, patient care does not seem to be a priority for her. I will be dropping her as my primary care provider as soon as I can.

Dr. Sears dismissed my critical symptoms over and over. She minimized the severity of the condition I was in and did not believe how sick I was until my condition became life threatening. The most incompetent and negligent doctor I have ever had.

I think Dr. Sears does an excellent job of listening, evaluating and diagnosing the medial problem. She's great at follow-up and making the patient feels like she cares.
