While she's very personable and polite, and has not problem answering most questions... she failed to update the letter for my service dog only because he is not trained by an organization. When asked if she would renew my letter, she asked if my dog was certified through an organization. When I said no, he was trained by me (the handler and a dog trainer) which is explicitly allowed by federal law, she then said she "wasn't sure" and "had to do more research". I gladly handed over my phone with the federal law pulled up to let her read, and even gave her some direct links to help her understand that yes, she is qualified and allowed to write the letter. She even thanked me, stating she didn't know that information. Keep this in mind. She then claimed that because she cannot "verify" that my dog is trained she cannot write the letter and could refer me to a psychiatrist/psychologist who might be able to... this is outwardly false, I was already prescribed and written a letter for my… service dog through the same company, from a PCP with the same qualifications and level of care I was receiving from her. I also didn't need (and she didn't need) to verify anything about my specific dog, as the letter very purposely as legally required simply informs whoever it is for that I (A.) Have a disability and (B.) Have a disability related need for a service animal. She verbally and text verified that the letter "looks good" and that she agreed with my previous PCP that I am disabled and have disability related need for a service animal, but refused to update my letter claiming falsely that she can't, putting me in direct risk of loosing my job and my home. She may be fine for common non-severe illness but definitely failed to provide me adequate care for my disability. She also failed to refer me to anyone, when she directly told me she would. Even after being prompted twice.
