Dr. Nicolle Serena Underwood, MD

She’s delivered two (almost 3) of my babies so far and I wouldn’t trade her for anyone else. She goes above and beyond and really cares about her patients.

I had a doctor that I had gone to for years. Due to change of job and insurance coverage change I had to find a new doctor. Dr. Underwood was a recommendation from a friend. I thought, if she comes with a recommendation she must be good. She has great patience and explained everything thoroughly.

Very impressed by Dr Underwood and grateful to be in her care. I recently copied her on bloodwork ordered by another doctor. Even though I was behind schedule for my annual checkup and had only seen her twice before, dr Underwood actually reviewed the test results I copied to her, noticed something that concerned her, and personally called me to leave a detailed voice message on my private line. I have NEVER before received a response from a doctor copied on any test. I’m astounded. Dr Underwood is on the job. Thank you, doctor!

I was a patient of Dr Worsch for 20 years. Dr Worsch was amazing. When she retired I was told I had to see the person who replaced her, Dr Underwood. I went in for an appointment and have never been treated so poorly. She was patronizing and incredibly hostile and even after an exam where she said she thought I had a lump in my breast refused to send me to a mammogram because I wasn’t 40 yet (my 40th Birthday was 2 weeks away). When I insisted she went off. I needed up contacting the breast care center at Hoag and they finally got the approval through. I I asked to be switched and was told no. After fighting that decision I received a call that the change of doctor was approved. However when I went to schedule again there was no record of the change. After two calls and waiting over 3 days with no response decided to go elsewhere. After being a happy patient for 20 years it is very disappointing that they would hire such a horrible doctor.

Nicolle Underwood is the worst doctor I've ever encountered, and I work in the health care industry. I went to her for my first pregnancy and regretted it almost immediately; however I wanted to trust her and give her hte benefit of the doubt. She rushes through appointments, doesn't review or follow up with test results, neglects to look over important milestones during a pregnancy such as the anatomy scan, and overall is just very frazzled and unorganized. She's not smart and her education is a reflection of that. I recommend all pregnant women to stay away from this incompetent doctor who really should not be in practice.

Very comfortable doctor to work with, pleasant and thorough. I have seen her twice, once for an initial visit (to which I was seen right on time). And the second for a surgical/procedure in an outpatient clinic. She is gentle and seems knowledgeable. I did happen to look at her reviews while she was practicing in New York and they were outstanding. I am grateful she has carried her services to us on the west coast now.
