Dr. Nigel I. Kennedy, MD

Dr. Kennedy is nothing short of a fantastic psychiatrist and psychotherapist. He is understanding both of your wants and needs while also helping you as a patient with medications and/or mental issues. I cannot think of a better doctor to help you in your mental struggles.

Dr Kennedy is not the first psychiatrist I have worked with, but he is one of the best! He and I worked together while dealing with residual anxiety and depression symptoms to manage those with both medical and non-medical interventions. He was an excellent listener and I felt he paid attention to my care holistically - when we determined I needed to return to medical treatments and when I felt able to wean off. At all points in my care I felt heard and my treatment well-managed.

Dr. Kennedy is the best Psychiatrist I have ever worked with. He is so intelligent but at the same time explains things very clearly and is very warm and kind. I felt like I was in very good hands as I was trying different medications to mitigate side effects to manage my anxiety and landed on one that I have been on for 4+ years. He is always very professional and good at answering questions and I feel like he cares about what's going on in my life.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I developed generalized anxiety and experienced severe panic attacks. I truly cannot overstate the impact Dr. Kennedy had on helping me navigate that incredibly difficult period. Initially, I had hoped to work with a female provider, but due to a shortage of mental health professionals at the time, that wasn’t possible. In hindsight, I’m so grateful things worked out the way they did. Although I was hesitant at first about seeing a male provider, Dr. Kennedy quickly put those concerns to rest. He was consistently professional, compassionate, and deeply reassuring. His support was a lifeline during one of the most challenging times in my life. I wholeheartedly recommend him as an exceptionally competent and compassionate mental health provider.

Dr. Kennedy helped me in a really dire time of need. This was my first time seeing a psychiatrist and what I appreciated most about him was his sense of calmness. Every step of the process with Dr. Kennedy is healing, even beginning with emailing him. On top of that, he's honest. He doesn't push anything and it always feels like a supported collaboration. I had the privilege of working with Dr. Kennedy for over four years both in-person and virtually, and I can confidently say he is one of the most thoughtful, compassionate, and insightful doctors I’ve ever encountered. When I met with Dr. Kennedy I was in a very terrible phase in my life, even though I got up went to work, eat, etc I felt like I was just a wheel.. I was referred to him by a close friend and from the moment we started our sessions I knew I was in a safe space. He listened and had an open mind, even in sessions where I was not in the mood the main goal was keep moving forward. We came up the right steps for me to take to start taking control of the issues that were holding me down.
