Dr. Niharika Kunapuli, MD

I have been under psychiatric treatment for 10 years. And every now and again you get lucky with a doctor who takes the time to learn about you, and not just keep dishing out meds based on assumptions. I was over medicated, and didn't have a reference to what feeling better looked like . Sometimes we don't know how much pain we are in, until we start to feel better. Amongst other serious symptoms i suffered night terrors, paranoia, depression. One important thing that she said in our first meeting is, "we are a team". I was experiencing audio hallucinations, and one step from being hospitalized. It was very scary to trust her expertise, but I was in such distress, I needed help. I am now feeling the best I have in 10 years. She has a gift and intelligence for piecing together the puzzles. Treatment under her care has changed my life.

I always feel like I get plenty of time to explain my issues without feeling rushed. Dr. K is so gentle and kind and of course is highly knowledgeable and very professional. In fact, she helped me where no other doctor was able! ALWAYS a pleasant experience ??

I haven’t been a patient of Dr. Kunapuli’s for a very long time now but I feel like she has helped me. She listens to me and cares about me. I am very sorry that she is leaving but I wish her nothing but the very best in her new venture. Thank you, Dr. Kunapuli!

Ive been seeing Dr. Kunapuli a little over a year now and all i can say she is awesome. She actually listened to my needs and worked with me. She would always have suggestions about my treatment and allowed me to make the decisions at the end. She is super easy to talk too, very patient, passionate and always available when needed. With Dr Kunapuli not once have i ever worried about my treatment i know she has my best interests.

In my 45 year career of working in the Medical and Behavioral Health field as a Social Worker, I have NEVER had the genuine pleasure of working with a Psychiatrist who genuinely cares about their patients, is involved in their care and who listens to not only the patient, but, the SW who knows them the best. Dr. Kunapali is THE REAL DEAL! She is a very intelligent, caring, compassionate individual who is from my experience, not the norm for her profession.

I have been seeing Dr. Kunapuli for about a year now and she has been amazing! I have never had any issues and has always been there for me. Every time I needed to speak to her she has always been available. She is a great provider who really cares about her patients.

I have been seeing Dr.Kunapuli for almost two years now and not once did I ever have any concerns about my care with her. I have always been completely comfortable and 100% confident in her ability to treat me as her patient. Not only does she genuinely care and is supportive at every visit, she is incredibly smart and is hands down the best psychiatrist I've ever seen. (and I've been through my share of them.) She has an impeccable bedside manner and most importantly she LISTENS to her patients. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would in a heart beat. She's been absolutely wonderful to work with.
