Dr. Niharika Sharma, MD

Dr. Sharma did not want to take the time to listen and address my multiple issues. She just referred me to pain management.

I was referred to her for chronic pain all over, but when she came in the room the first thing she did was focus on me having a mental health issue. She did not do a thorough exam neither time I saw her, she just touched my fingers and legs and asked if they hurt. She asked questions but really blew off my answers. However, she did run tests but said that I only had 2 of the 11 features for Lupus which was not true considering what two previous specialists had already found. She diagnosed me with UCTD but said she was treating me for lupus. Also my xrays came back saying that I had bone density and osteoporosis but she never discussed this with me at the visit, I had to call her out on it, and then she ordered more tests. My overall opinion is that she prejudged me based on information she knew nothing about that is in my medical record, and really wasn't interested in helping me get to the bottom of what was causing my sickness and pain!! She also wrote in her visit summary notes that… certain things were fine when she never even examined them!

I can't say enough about Dr. Sharma! After over a year of getting worse with no doctor being able to help or diagnose, I could no longer raise my arms to put my clothes on or off and could barely walk for the pain being so severe. Even laying down and being perfectly still the pain was almost unbearable. My first visit she patiently listened and ask questions, then did a thorough exam. She then proceeded to give me injections and prescribed a Rx. The next day the improvement was nothing short of a miracle, hence she will always be my miracle physician. If you want a doctor that will talke the time to listen and exam you thorough in order to help you Dr Sharma is your answer!
