Summary
Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in June 2008 and the Board of Cardiac Computed Tomography (CBCCT) in 2010, Dr. Goyal has been an attending radiologist at Staten Island University Hospital since July 2009. He completed his fellowship in Thoracic and Cardiac Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2009.
Dr. Goyal completed a surgical internship and a diagnostic radiology residency at North Shore University Hospital. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Radiology and a member of the Radiological Society of North America.
His research interests include applications of coronary CTA (Computed Tomogrphy Angiography). He is the author of several Radiologic Society of North America educational teaching and “case of the day” exhibits as well as several ACR “case-in-point” submissions.
He also serves on committees for resident education and is a frequent lecturer in thoracic and cardiac radiology and has given oral board review at 10 institutions. Last spring Dr. …Goyal was invited to give a Grand Rounds presentation on "Imaging of Surgical Repair of Congenital Heart Disease" at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Additionally Dr. Goyal manages the SIUH online radiology teaching bank, which he created in August 2009.
