Dr. Nikitas Maglis

I left this ER feeling completely unheard and unsupported. My concerns were brushed off, even with abnormal test results that were never properly addressed. I tried to advocate for myself, especially regarding pain that was not being managed, but nothing changed. He did not leave the room or give me privacy during an EKG, and stared at my anatomy despite my saying I was uncomfortable for the male gaze. He did not make eye contact during it. He brushed aside my disabilities and my current care needs, being rude and dismissive. (I am an ambulatory wheelchair user with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, POTS, and other disabilities. He raised his voice at my health care advocate who was present on the phone, furthermore ignoring the abnormal blood and urine tests and the abnormal EKG results. Being discharged when I clearly said I didn’t feel safe was upsetting and honestly, scary. I also asked to speak with a patient advocate and that request was ignored. No patient should feel like they have… to fight to be taken seriously in an emergency room. Stay FAR away from this "doctor".
