Dr. Nilesh Shirish Mehta, MD

I've been to this person 3 x without any relief. He takes money but cannot listen. As soon as I start to tell him what is wrong, he acts like a god and jumps to conclusions - and then tells me he's not a god. He's also not a doctor. He has no compassion, empathy, patience or insight. He's a quack. He actually said there is no medicine for my problem but a cursory google search shows there are numerous treatments and medications. He lied. His office is also scary shabby like everyone could disappear overnight and his phone message goes back to Covid and isn't accurate - nor can anyone leave a message. And who offers lower prices for cash??? What a waste of time and money when I am still getting worse. As a professor of rhetoric, all I can say is that he is the "BS" end of bad rhetoric. My students need an issue to investigate. I may have found it.

Dr. Mehta doesn't come across as a super gregarious person but my experience over the past year + is that he will listen and while possibly referring to a specialist, stays involved and performs follow up appointments at appropriate times. Given the number of patients that come through the doors, I found him to be timely and thorough. Everyone at the practice have been friendly, courteous and professional at every turn.

This doctor is the worst possible doctor any person can have. from less than 4 mins of actual face time to complete neglect of health issues i would never ever send any of my family to this man. i dont even know how hes in practice!

Unprofessional, awful bedside manner, lack of attention, but very happy to refer you to someone else usually one of his punjabi buddies so you can pay another office visit

Very smart Dr. appears to be prepared, has a no nonsense approach.

Dr.Mehta has been the family physician for over 15 years, He treats my mother, In laws, and friends. He is always concerned with the person, not the patient. He takes time to address the issues as they are and looks for solutions. I am proud to say that Dr Mehta is worthy of trust, and is a physician who has taken his work seriously. You do wait a little but you are attended to in a time frame wholly acceptable. Again, you are a viable person to Dr. Mehta, not just a billing number.

Seems impatient with elderly and brushes off complaints as something he hears daily without listening to complaint or examining further until it really is out of control. Then he immediately refers to a specialist. Does not carry flu shot in his office. Sends you elsewhere.

You'd be better off continuing your search for a decent doctor in El Paso. Wait times are almost 3 hours every time I have been, staff is rude mostly, once you actually get in to see the doctor he only spends a few minutes with you and then is gone. The doctor does not return calls to patients and his bed side manner if horific.
