I have a very good experience with Dr. Patel. I went to Dialysis for approximately 36 months and my grandson gave me a kidney. I had transplant at Vanderbilt. Doing well and getting ready to start post transplant care again with Dr. Patel. He is a good doctor. James Taylor Cleveland, Tennessee

I have been seeing Dr. Patel for 4 years now, after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma with kidney involvement. He has always been a very caring professional person. He goes over in detail all of my blood tests in a way that I can easily understand. His office staff is always friendly and easy to get in touch with if needed. I would highly recommend this doctor. Extremely bad temper and very unprofessional. Do not raise complaints or concerns with this nephrologist or pay the price of retaliation or discharge from your dialysis clinic. Currently works for Chattanooga Kidney Center in Cleveland, TN and Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in Hixson, TN where as medical directors. Avoid this bad doctor, there are many good ones to choose from other than Dr. Patel.

Really impressed with this doctor. Easy to understand and he was not in a mad dash to leave. Good teacher and explained my kidney issues so I could understand. I will go back.

This "doctor" encourages family members to let their patients die. His philosophy, as stated by him, is that dialysis is not for preserving life but for quality of life. Maybe something to that, but he has encouraged many people I know, with a lot of life left, to throw in the towel and just die. He is impossible to reach, even under emergency situations. He is a disgrace to his profession.
