Great bedside manner! Explained things very well. I felt included in my care plan. All staff were very friendly.

Dr. Patel and all the staff were very friendly. They asked me lots of questions about my health and any problems I’ve been having. He took the time to explain what I needed to do and why. He always greets me by name and treats me well.

Very friendly and engaging! Offered various options for my care which I definitely appreciated.

My husband and I love Dr Patel he is patient when needed and very thorough Also very pleasant. His staff is great also

Only criticism is that the nurse told me Eliquis was a water pill.

He spent months trying different medications to avoid doing a procedure on my grandfather. Even though we had actively expressed on multiple occasions they’re not helping and he’s getting significantly worse day by day. He waited so long, the blocked artery became too calcified and now they cannot open the artery back up. That is what it is. Then, following up after trying to open the artery, he wanted to change my grandfathers medication to improve heart function, which again, is fine. But when my grandfather left, he gave him absolutely no written directions on which medications to stop, change, or increase. He had already been prescribed a blood thinner, and at the same follow up appointment said he needed to put him on a blood thinner, but again no direction and didn’t even notice that on his medication list is already one blood thinner (which was prescribed by another doctor in his office). I left three messages with his nurse trying to get a response so that he knows what… medications to take before bed and first thing in the morning. A whole day later, absolutely no response. So he has not taken any medication in fear of it being “wrong”. So now he’s feeling even worse, getting worse, and no one will tell us what he is even supposed to be taking. On top of that, Dr. Patel made the comment at a previous appointment after failing to open the artery, that “this is why we like to catch this sooner”. My grandfather has not missed an appointment for years. So how exactly could my grandfather have caught that his cardiologist doesn’t realize his artery is becoming blocked? His previous cardiologist (who left the hospital in our area) was fabulous. He thoroughly explained everything, and wasn’t afraid to be more proactive taking into consideration his exact circumstances using the same guidelines. While Dr. Patel said that he “just followed the guidelines they’re given which suggests that medication should be tried for 3 months”. But again, you don’t need to be a doctor to look at my grandfathers failing health after 1 month (let alone 3) to know this is obviously not the fix these so called guidelines are supposed to provide. So those “suggestions” he would not waiver from, have diminished my grandfathers options for improvement. If you want no answers, and only to be treated like a checklist he has to make it down, he’s the doctor for you. Luckily we are seeing a new cardiologist in a couple weeks, but unfortunately there are little to no options left thanks to Dr. Patel’s lack of action. Which is supposed to be my grandfathers fault for not knowing his own artery was blocked.
