Dr Nima Ghalehsari, MD

Dr. Ghalehsari earned his MD degree from St. George's University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency followed by a Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Ghalehsari most recently completed a Bone Marrow Transplantation/ Cellular Therapy Fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine, California.Dr. Ghalehsari's clinical interests include cell therapy, particularly CAR-T therapy in lymphoma and solid-tumor malignancies, as well as bone marrow transplantation in hematologic cancers. His research portfolio spans outcomes of CAR T in older patients, radiomics and metabolic tumor volume as predictors of efficacy, and mechanisms of relapse including antigen loss. He has presented his work nationally, which includes oral presentations at the American Society of Hematology. He has authored peer-reviewed publications on transplant outcomes, health …disparities in multiple myeloma, and immune-based therapies. In addition to his clinical and research pursuits, Dr. Ghalehsari has demonstrated strong leadership and mentorship throughout his training, serving as Chief Medical Resident at Weill Cornell and actively contributing to national initiatives on diversity and access in cellular therapy.
