Dr. Nina Ruth Bacaner, MD

It’s after considerable reflection we’re sharing our rating and review for Dr. Nina R. Bacaner, MD, of AM Physicians, in St. Louis Park. We were so displeased with her unpleasantness and her lack of service, we thought it only fair to share our insight via this review. My wife and I are fortunate to have very good health insurance, and we both have top rated primary physicians in the Twin Cities. As my wife is a recent US immigrant, however, a requirement for her permanent residency was to have an appointment with a “USCIS Authorized Doctor.” We thought we had selected a great doctor, as Dr. Nina Bacaner had a perfect score on Google. Walking into Dr. Bacaner’s office, at 4201 Excelsior Blvd, was like walking into a doctor’s office in a third world country – unlike any medical clinic I’ve ever seen before in the US. And, that was probably the best part of the entire visit. The visit cost approximately $500, and we were told upfront that Dr. Nina R. Bacaner didn’t accept insurance.… That was alright, as she carried a “5-star” rating on Google, and we thought we were getting a top notch doctor. In all, we spent less than five minutes with the doctor. She was rude, condescending, and wouldn’t even shake hands (a first for us, as she said “I don’t shake hands” upon initially meeting). We didn’t even know the appointment was over – she just led us to the door, and we realized it was through (no “thank you for your business,” “goodbye,” or “good luck”). My only assumption is Dr. Bacaner has become so accustomed to seeing foreign customers who may feel as though they have no voice or other options in selecting a USCIS Approved Doctor, that courtesy and care have simply been tossed out the window. The reason we are therefore sharing this review is so when people are searching for a physician, they realize there are many other more professional and pleasant options out there, and Dr. Nina Bacaner is not representative of any of the fine doctors I have had the opportunity to know over the years. It’s really sad when someone glides through a lengthy career, without compassion or care for those they’re supposed to assist – especially when they're supposed to be helping new immigrants with no other benchmarks as to “how it’s supposed to be, here in America.”
