Dr. Nina Miwako Teruya, MD

Sometimes quite slow to respond (or no response) and receptionists are rude.

Staff is not very helpful, recent visit had me go back to the office twice (paid 2 parking tickets. I wasn't offered validation since it wasn't a visit?) because of poor information from the receptionist. The attitude from the other assistant made me feel that i was the problem, when initially i asked for a schedule appointment that i would gladly had paid for. It was just a signing of a medical certificate. 2 minutes. My 13-year old doesn't like the doctor either for unsure reasons and sometimes I feel I am "brushed off" as being an overbearing mother who worries too much. Children know who they are comfortable with, so we are researching a new doctor. Our first doctor always made us both feel welcomed, so this doctor doesn't work for both of us.

Well I am now looking for a new Dr for my kids. Have ti make appointments so far in advance. Means I cant get my kids into see her when they are sick. Only go in for annual check ups. Last time had to come back to get shots. ANOTHER APPOINTMENT. Scheduled on child for an annual and they just gave them a flu shot, saying thats what they had down, not a physical. Like I would deive all the way into town after taking child out of afterschool activity to get a flu shot. Didn't even get an apology. Fed up. She needs better staff. Dr herself seem fine. But I am done with her staff.

I gave up on Dr Teruya after being tired of having a hard time getting appointments and dealing with her poor quality and unfriendly staff. She also missed a simple diagnosis which required a specialist visit
