Dr. Nina Florence Wimpie, MD

I needed Dr. Wimpie's address for some medical forms I am filling out for my son and decided to google it, which brought me to this page. I was saddened to see the reviews. I have been bringing my three children to see her for over 16 years now. She is absolutely wonderful, professional, and caring. She goes above and beyond what any other pediatrician would do to help you and your child. She gets back to you immediately and takes her own personal time if needed whenever you or your child need her. Not to mention, my children ADORE her. Which means everything to me. I am so thankful that she has helped me to raise them.

My son had been sick for almost two weeks, and we had back and forth to the doctor. The day she saw my son, it was because my regular pediatrician was out of town, and she was his backup. When I made the appt., I informed them that my mom would be bringing my son in (as I could not miss any more work), and that I was concerened that he had mono. I also gave them permission to do whatever was necessary to find out what was wrong. Dr. Wimpie refused to pay any attention to what my mom was telling her (recent medical history), and said my son could go to school. She said he didn't have mono, and she didn't think he should be tested for it. When my mom INSISTED on an order for blood work, she gave it to her, with attitude, and told her that it was the PARENTS decision whether or not to do blood work (my mom has helped me raise my son). Turns out, he has mono, and has NOT been able to go to school. At this point, he has been out since Jan. 18th, and will most likely miss several more weeks.… I will NEVER return.

My child was born early at Southwest hospital. My first meeting with this doctor was while I was half asleep in a hospital bed after being up for 3 days straight. I woke up to being told that I was a horrible mother, and I had no business having a baby because I was asleep. I apologized for passing out and the doctor continued to belittle me. I was by myself and very hurt and worried as to how a doctor could act like this and get away with that behavior. God is watching and I know justice will be swift.

Dr Wimpie Rocks ... Wish I would of took my son to her years ago... :)

Misdiagnosed my son! Do not trust her! My son was seen by Dr. Wimpie, my concerns were dismissed and I was sent home. Fortunately, I took my son to the Emergency Room to be seen. Thank God I did! He had an Epidural bleed in his head and multiple Orbital fractures from a fall. My son was lifeflighted and went for emergent surgery. Had I listen to Dr. Wimpie my son would have died! After my son was out of surgery the Neuro surgeon who saved my son's life called Dr. Wimpie and told her as much! DO NOT TRUST YOUR CHILD CARE OR LIFE IN THIS WOMANS CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
