Dr. Nina Zilberman, MD

my parents had very poor experience here. The staff promised to send results over for a serious test my mom needed to run, but never did. They continuously fail to be competent. They claim that we need to schedule an appointment for inquiries that require no in-person visit - probably to milk money out of patients' pockets. The front desk staff is extremely unprofessional and rude, but do not seem to really care about patients.

I recently had a pleasure of being a patient of Dr. Nina Zilberman with an acute otitis. I must report that the experience was nothing short of spectacular! Dr. Zilberman was punctual, cordial, warm, highly professional, compassionate and kind. She diagnosed and treated my condition expertly and efficiently! I highly recommend Nina Zilberman, M.D. and will remain her patient for years to come. Thank you, Dr. Zilberman!!!

Unfriendly, rushed

The doctor was 1 hour late, had been unprofessional and rude with me.

Dr. Zilberman is one of the rudest physicians I have ever met. Not only did I have to wait for her for over an hour, when I was seen, she barely spent 5 minutes with me. While I was waiting, I heard her screaming at the office staff, and that gruffness carried over into my visit. Her bedside manner is terribly lacking, and I don't see how someone lacking empathy as much as Dr. Zilberman does can even be allowed to treat the sick.

Dr. Zilberman caters to a specific population: the Russian immigrants who live in the area who can't speak English. If you're not this population, there's no reason for you to see her. She can get away with having this practice because her core clients put up with it in exchange for the comfort of having a Russian doctor with a Russian-speaking staff. I found her using my health plan's search for in-network doctors. If I had found better reviews for her, I wouldn't have come here since I'm not a Russian immigrant. Firstly, I made a new-patient appointment for a wellness checkup. The office manager had three weeks until my appointment. When I made the appointment, I gave her all my health insurance information. But when I arrived, it was as if I had never given her any information at all. They had no idea what, if any, co-pay I had. In fact, they thought I was on an entirely different plan and insisted I had a $20 co-pay. I had to pull up my Patient Services information on my iPhone… to show them that I didn't have a co-pay for a wellness exam. This took about 15 minutes to settle. When I finally got inside the exam rooms, I couldn't believe how outdated the equipment, technology and rooms were. It looked about circa early 1980s. I hadn't been in a doctor's office that used paper files in about a decade. Everything else - the testing equipment, furniture, etc. - hadn't been updated in a decade. Nothing was new. My actual time with the doctor was less than what I spent with her physician's assistant. I came in two weeks later after getting a call that the doctor wanted to discuss my lab results. I went in 10 minutes early for the appointment. The doctor showed up 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment (I saw her coming in through the back door while the physician's assistant was taking my blood pressure). Speaking of, I get summoned by the PA to do the standard pre-doctor tests (BP, temperature). I go into a room, and there's a man in there who is teaching the PA how to use the computer database. They put in my name as tryout for her. Great. So here's a man who's not my doctor accessing my personal health files. On top of that, the PA motions me to sit down, except the cables for the laptop are strung across the patient chair. She motions for me to sit on the exam bed and to take off my winter coat, except she's placed my file on the bed where I would have sat, and there's no place to put my coat or my bag. So I sit on my file, with my things on my lap, while she takes my blood pressure. Finally, the doctor calls me in. Except as soon as I sit down, she says she needs to finish her conversation on her cellphone, which she does in Russian. Then she asks me how I am, and I tell her I have a cold. She calls in the PA and teaches her how to test me for strep throat and the flu. For the strep throat, she tells me to open my mouth and say Ahh. Which I do, and then she jams in a long cotton swab in the back of my throat. Normally this wouldn't hurt, but I have a cold and she knows I have a sore throat, and she just jammed something in the back of my throat and it HURTS. She begins to tell me to wait in the waiting room for the test results, and then I ask her, well what about the lab results I was called in for? She has no idea what I'm talking about. Eventually, she tells me I'm fine but I should get a sonogram just to make sure. At this point, I have the feeling that all she wants to do is keep me coming back, because obviously before I came in today she had no idea she's seen me and why I was back. I return to the waiting room to await the results of my flu test. While I'm sitting there staring at the speckled white linoleum floor, I notice a group of ants walking around the center of the floor. What does it say about a doctor's office when she has an ant problem in the waiting room? As I continue to sit and wait, I notice the speckles on the linoleum are moving. OK, it's not an ant problem - it's an infestation - the ants are everywhere. Needless to say, I am not returning.

This doctor has no knowledge of medicine. My husband died because of this doctor. She is a shame to medical profession

Dr. Nina Zilberman is a patient and excellent doctor. Her office is a place of comfort. I am happy to know and visit Dr. Zilberman for many years. I highly reccommend her.

Dr. Zilberman was not only offhand and aloof, couldn't crack a smile if she tried, but barely listened to the reason for my visit. After having to remind Dr. Zilberman of the reason for my visit, after a split second examination, she dismissed my concern and didn't suggest that this concern was something that I should or should not worry about it or keep an eye on. The front desk personnel at this office only heightened by negative experience here. I will not be back and wouldn't recommend Dr. Zilberman, nor her practice to anyone.
