Niquita Dowdell is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner delivering relationship-based primary care at Crimson Primary Care in Duluth, Georgia. She is currently completing the Atlanta VA Post-Graduate Primary Care Residency, one of the nation’s most rigorous NP training programs, with rotations in primary care, hematology and oncology, sleep medicine, and continence care. Patients value her calm, thorough approach and clear communication.

Training and Background

Before becoming an NP, Niquita …worked for more than five years as a registered nurse in high-acuity emergency and intensive care units across metro Atlanta, including Piedmont and Northside facilities and Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center South. She earned her MSN and BSN from Columbus State University and is certified as an FNP by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Niquita collaborates with internal medicine physician Dr. Ned Okarter for medical oversight and consultation.

• Type 2 diabetes and prediabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, thyroid and metabolic conditions

• Medication management, refills, and lab review
• Patients establishing long-term primary care, including Medicare and Medicare Advantage members
