Nira L. Salant

Nira Salant, DPT, is a physical therapist at Intermountain Health’s Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation – Salt Lake Clinic, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She supports patients in Salt Lake City, Millcreek, West Valley City, and surrounding communities where she specializes in orthopedic physical therapy. Nira treats a wide range of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, including spine and joint pain, balance impairments, sports and overuse injuries, dizziness, headaches, and post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation. Her treatment approach combines manual therapy, individualized exercise programs, patient education, and trigger point dry needling.

As a lifelong athlete and outdoor enthusiast, Nira understands how important it is to stay active and independent. Having personally experienced chronic …injury and pain, she deeply empathizes with her patients and is passionate about giving them the tools and confidence they need to heal, recover, and return to the activities they love.

Originally from the Boston area, Nira now lives in Salt Lake City with her spouse, child, and two dogs. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, rock climbing, biking, trail running, skiing, gardening, cooking, and preserving food from her garden.
