Dr. Niraj Thakarshi Chapla, MD

I would agree with previous review that Dr. Chapla is polite, but does not actually help through treatment. I am a successful nurse and mother of two very young children. I needed an adjustment to my medications due to acute episode of anxiety related to physical problems for which I am in the process of resolving with a specialist. Not only did he decrease the only medication I was on (an antidepressant), but he did not prescribe anything else and told me to complete a urine drug screening. A working nurse who is tired from being up every night breastfeeding my infant and taking care of a toddler during the days I am home is being labeled a possible drug addict by a psychiatrist.

He is polite but does not listen well- appears to have already made up his mind about what's wrong and what the solution is before listening to details of your problems. Relies more on what's considered "medically indicated" then actual patient reactions to different treatment and therapy. Inconsistent in what medicine he feels you should be on.
