Dr. Nirali Mehta

Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing and troubling with Dr.Mehta. On the day of the procedure, Dr. Mehta performed multiple tooth extractions on my son. We were only aware of two milk teeth that were decayed and needed removal, so the additional extractions were done without our consent. This lack of communication and transparency was alarming. Post-surgery, we encountered serious complications. My son experienced prolonged bleeding for over 24 hours. When we reached out to Haymarket Surgery Center for help, the response was to simply wait and see if the bleeding would stop on its own. However, the bleeding did not cease, leading us to seek emergency medical care. In the emergency room, my son was administered tranexamic acid to control the bleeding, which finally addressed the issue. This situation could have been avoided with better pre-procedure communication and post-operative care. It was clear from the tests at the hospital there was no bleeding… disorder. This was due to a nerve damage during the procedure, which is appalling from a Dentist. Based on our experience, I would NOT recommend Dr. Nirali Mehta for any medical procedures. The lack of consent and inadequate follow-up care were concerning and unacceptable. The clinic "Sporting Smiles Pediatric Dentistry" where she practices is buying reviews on Google. A 1 star review is compensated by 3 of 5-star reviews. BEWARE of this scam.
