Dr. Niranjankumar K Parekh, MD

Dr. Niranjan Parekh received his M.D. degree from King George Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India. He immigrated to the United States in 1980 and joined Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein Hospitals unified radiation oncology residency program in New York City where he served as Chief Resident. After completing his residency, he trained under well known Dr. F. Chu, Dr. Batata and Dr. L. Nisce as a Clinical Fellow at New York Hospital (Cornell University Medical Center). Dr. Chu has worked extensively on breast cancers, particularly those emerging after lumpectomy. Dr. Batata is well known for his work on prostate cancers. Dr. Parekh had the privilege of getting tutelage under these world-renowned physicians.

Thereafter, he worked as a staff Radiation Oncologist at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center at Paterson, New Jersey. During this time, he also served as Assistant Professor for Seton Hall University. Before joining the Cancer Center of Kansas, Dr. Parekh provided …his services as the Medical Director at the Eastern Idaho Tumor Institute for eleven years, where he practiced general radiation oncology involving direct patient care.

Dr. Parekh now resides in Dodge City with his family and participates with the Cancer Center of Kansas and their four medical oncologists in taking care of patients who need oncology services. He practices full time at Radiation Oncology Center (a subsidiary of Cancer Center of Kansas) in Dodge City in addition to seeing to the needs of patients in Liberal and surrounding counties in southwest Kansas.
