Dr Patel misdiagnosed me with RSP and had me undergo months of painful injections in my neck, where I had to go to the hospital and undergo anesthesia. During one of the last sessions I spent with her, I was given too much anesthesia and stopped breathing three times, which she later claimed was normal. She also admitted me to the hospital at one point to try and offset a law suit she thought was coming against the original doctor who did my hand surgery. When I had a difficult time following the anesthesia , she refused to see me and my chart mysteriously disappeared. When she finally deemed to see me, there was no mention of my breathing difficulties in my chart and she informed me and my husband that my medical problems following surgery were all in my head, perhaps due to peri menopause, and that I never had RSD, the reason she had me undergo months of injections. In addition, I heard the other doctors in the pain clinic , who didn't know who I was, talking about… her mistreatment of my case.
