Caring physician. Took both my parents in the last year there. I'm impressed by the way her office works.

I saw Dr. Merla a long time ago and changed doctors. She was short with answers and was on a hurry to move on to the next patient. After all, the more patients she can see in a day is more money for her. I knew there was something wrong with my stomach but she didn't think so. She was wrong, I had to have a serious stomach operation. Good thing I changed doctors and received the much needed care I deserved.

I am at a complete loss for words at how rude, disrespectful and awful Dr Merla and her office staff (Diane, specifically) have been. Working within the medical industry myself, I've never encountered customer service this horrible. Whatever you do, don't get involved with this practice. Find somebody else. I'm clearly not the only person feeling this way. Just wish I myself had seen these reviews before...

My mother had a CT Scan, Endoscopy with biopsies and blood work performed. We cannot get Dr Merla to call us with the results after trying for several days. We are told she will call “at her conscience”. Called again today after being told she would call yesterday and didn’t, only to find out she won’t be in! What good is it to do these procedures if you can’t get the results!

I went to Dr Merla for a second opinion regarding the need for a repeat colonoscopy. I told my situation to the P.A., who felt that other another procedure could be substituted, since I did not have any clear indications of a severe problem or urgent issue. After waiting to see Dr Merla for nearly 3 hours, she claimed she did not have my medical records. After a few minutes she found them. Then she assumed that I had medical problems that I dont have. Finally she just repeated word-for-word what my regular specialist had recommended without any justification or explanation. It was a total waste of time. And Dr Merla totally contradicted the P.A.'s assessment!

Explained to us in detail our medical problem, like no one before. Took time to make sure we understood the issues at hand. Delight!!
