Dr. Nisha Patel, MD

i had 2 colonoscopies on a 5 year intervals because i had a history of polyps. The dilemma is that the first one i had was done as a screening and the second was as a medical. i did my preop and verified before i went in by two offices that i owed nothing. later i received a bill which for dr patel and the colonade was $1200! i immediately called and was told dr patel has to change the diagnosis code and i called at least 15 times with not one return call. if not for the nice lady at the colonade who gave me the direct extension i would never had resolved. secondly i pleaded my case and they would not even consider what i was saying and suggested that i was trying to make dr patel lie with that being said i responded that i would not go there, my family and anyone else who may read my review. She accused me of threatening and i said no this is a promise. i Suggested we get on line with BCBS who she said i do and call her back i did and bcbs immediately fixed the problem… themselves which was per BCBS guidelines not by me trying to make them lie BCBS encourages wellness programs to stay healthy and how many people want to go to dr patel on the premise its a wellness visit and her narrow mindedness of the coding interpretation causes her to change and you get home and you owe $1500!

I was impressed with the overall experience very caring and professional. So much so I scheduled my husband's colonoscopy with her.

Dr. Patel is by far an awesome, caring physician

Dr. Patel has seen four members of my family. We each have the same feelings about this doctor...... she really cares about her patients. She is very diligent in her goal to find out what the problem is and how to go about correcting whatever the problem is.
