I find that I never have to wait longer than ten minutes to see Dr. Alvi, when I make a reservation. By not overbooking, she sees her patients when they wanted to be seen, because patients don't get backed up in her office. We live in busy times and I appreciate not wasting time needlessly. Dr. Alvi is very thorough and makes sure that all of my questions have been answered before I leave her office. She projects confidence and professionalism which makes for a very pleasant experience. For me, she has done examinations, prescribed medications, and performed laser surgery related to my Glaucoma. I am a very satisfied customer.

Dr. Alvi is kind, very pleasant and listens carefully. She explains the test results and discusses treatment options. I am confident that my glaucoma is well cared for with Dr. Alvi and her team.

DR. ALVI IS A FANTASTIC OPHTHALMOLOGIST. I HAVE BEEN SEEING HER FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. I ALWAYS FEEL SHE HAS MY BEST INTEREST IN MIND. I HAVE ENTRUSTED MY EYES TO HER BECAUSE SHE REALLY CARES ABOUY ME. SHE AND HER STAFF ARE SO KIND AND WELCOMING. I TRUST HER SO MUCH THAT I RECOMMENDED MY HUSBAND AND FRIEND TO HER.

I am so thankful to Dr. Alvi for literally saving my vision and probably my life! After experiencing double vision, redness and bruits in both eyes and seeing four different doctors with no success, I was referred to Dr. Alvi. She immediately suspected fistulas and ordered an MRI which confirmed her diagnosis. She then referred me to a top Neuro Surgeon at Northwestern Hospital within a day. He scheduled me for surgery two days later. Thanks to her expedience in diagnosing my condition, my vision was restored to normal, and I am fully recovered.

Dr. Alvi was recommended to me by a few of my other doctors. Her office was not close to my home, but I decided to see her. I'm glad I did. She is very genuine and personable. She listens and is detailed with my care plan. I don't feel rushed and all my concerns are always addressed. When Dr. Alvi moved to a new office (quite a while ago) I followed her because the care her office provides. I highly recommend Dr. Alvi!

Twelve years ago my husband and I moved to Algonquin. After unpacking, one of our first tasks was to find a new ophthalmologist in the area. Every doctor and neighbor we asked recommended Dr. Nishat Alvi so we each made an initial appointment with her and weâ??ve never looked back. Over the years, Dr. Alvi relocated her offices from Algonquin to Barrington and Elgin. We now have to travel farther to see her and her staff but the extra effort is well worth the opportunity to be seen by an excellent doctor. Whatâ??s so good about this practice? Dr. Alvi and her team really care about your eye health and about you as a person. They are thorough, patient, talented, experienced and professional.
