Worse surgeon ever!

Horrible office staff can’t find paperwork, they are disorganized and simply rude. They lack in patient care and organization. Amanda says things and never follows it through. Alexis is a so called fill in for the office manager that is never around and just as rude. Unable to make appointment and will never recommend them based on first impressions the office staff needs major training in all areas. Don’t use them find someone else that had it together and puts patients first. Because this office doesn’t do that. They can’t do there jobs.

He operated on me when I had a Subdural Hematoma and he got me through it. He's the balls.

I was in a great deal of pain with neuropathy and had absolutely no feeling on my left side of my body when I went to see him. He told me that if I did not have surgery I would wind up in a wheelchair. I waited 5 years because circumstances were that I had to wait, and almost was in a wheelchair. I am a high risk patient but he weighed the options and still did the surgeries. I had C-3-C4, C-6-C7. I had C-6-C7 done 1st and got relief and feeling back into my body within 3 months so we waited 6 months and did the 2nd surgery and I am doing so much better. I thank him and his wonderful staff for helping me. I won't hesitate to go see Dr. Andalkar ever again. This guy is 1 great surgeon. He is patient and has a wonderful bedside manner. I would recommend Dr. Andalkar without hesitation. He's extremely compassionate, and was great with me when I had surgery. He performed a C-5 Corpectemy and I'm doing great. The scar on my neck is not visible at all. I know he did more for me as his patient. I recently had hip surgery and the surgeon never checked on me after the surgery. I know he relied on the hospital for my care, but I never saw him at the hospital. Contrary to Dr. Andalkar, who saw me five times at the hospital. Absolutely brilliant doctor!

A wonderful neurosurgeon. Did neck surgery on me in Oct., 2014 and Did a wonderful job! I really trust him and would not want to go to anyone but him! Office staff very courteous also!

I attempted for 2 months to get an appointment with this doctor. He would not see me until he received my most recent MRI, and said it would take 2 weeks for him to review it. If he thought it was acceptable they would call me. After the first 2 weeks went by I called them, only to be told they had received an MRI that was too old. I then gave them the phone number for the radiology office that had performed the MRI I had had the month before. After 2 weeks, still no phone call. I called them and the moronic woman who answers his phone told me they had called 3 times to get my MRI report, with no response. This is a lie. I then emailed them a copy of my MRI. One month later I have received no response. This doctor must have the ego of a LORD. Without even talking to me he refuses to take me as a patient. I worked in the medical field for 35 years, and NEVER encountered such rudeness from a doctor and his office staff.

I would never go to a different Neurological Surgeon. He is the best. He helped me when there was a different one that wanted me to repeat my 8 weeks of physical therapy. Also wanted me to redo the steroid shots in my back which would have made my bones brittle and this other surgeon wanted me to wear an orthotic brace for my back. I went and saw Dr. Andalakar, MD. After seeing my pain management Dr. James Chien. Whom referred me to my amazing Neurologist Dr. Kan Yu. Whom is the best. Dr. Andalakar. He told me exactly what to expect. That it would fix certain things that it was meant to but since I had other issues those it would not fix. He told me I could take time to think about it. I told him I have suffered with this pain for over 2 years. I and I have thought about it enough. It is time for a surgical fix. He was exactly right. My Cervical Fusion. In 2011 was successful. I have seen other's whom have had the same surgery and they have horrible scaring. I was in… my early 20's. He told me that as I got older that where he made the incision in the front of my neck would go into the fold of my neck as I got older. Nobody even can tell I have had a surgery unless I tell them. I did not use any cream on it or anything. Everybody I talk to in his waiting room has the same experiance. They say he fights for his patients. He actually cares for them. He said because I was so young there was a chance that was the reason the other surgeon wanted me to jump through all of those hoops rather than helping me. Also could be he only likes certain surgeries now. Not my surgeon. If you have gotten a consultation with another Neurological Surgeon. I recommend. You going to see him. He will not even see you unless he believes there is a reason to help you. Even if it is to tell you. That I don't believe we should do surgery at this point unless you cannot control the pain. This Doctor is Amazing. If you don't believe me go see him yourself.
