I adore Dr. Calico. I've been seeing her for over a year, and her intelligence, warmth, and empathy distinguished her as the psychiatrist I had always hoped to find, but had not experienced in my other interactions with doctors around the city. She has the rare skill of being consummately professional and genuinely down-to-earth. Couldn't recommend more.

I have been seeing Dr. Calico for a couple of months now and highly recommend her. She is very empathetic and kind. Dealing with anxiety is not easy and I previously worked with a therapist for 13 years and felt as if I had gotten nowhere. That is when I decided it was time for a switch. In the sessions that I have had, I feel as if I have chipped away at the core issues that contribute to my anxiety. She has helped me to re-evaluate the way I look at things in both our sessions and in exercises given to me outside of the office. I look forward to the continuation of my treatment and to the progress I have been making.

I am extremely lucky to have been introduced to Dr. Calico last year. I had been to several psychiatrists who were all unsuccessful in treating my severe depression and was honestly losing hope of ever feeling better. My therapist referred me to her and she was kind enough to see me. As early as the first visit I began to feel as if she understood my symptoms. She completed my sentences, genuinely cared about my health and well-being and told me that she would help me feel like myself again. She also gave me options which had never been available to me before by other doctors. I have been seeing her for almost a year now and I am now on the road to starting a new job and a family. Finding a good psychiatrist in this city can be a daunting task. Finding a good psychiatrist who is also an effective therapist is next to impossible. I was lucky enough to find both in Dr. Calico.She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about medication, finding exactly what works and eliminating what isn't needed. With Dr. Calico's help, I have been able to effectively control the symptoms of both my chronic depression and panic disorder. All this without the gruesome side effects simply taken for granted by doctors in the past.As a therapist, Dr. Calico is both professional and compassionate. I believe that she is someone who genuinely cares about her patients and is completely resolved to helping them through her kindness and insight.

I really like Dr. Calico, and I don't like many doctors. She's exceptionally intelligent, very kind, calm, confident, sensible, and caring. She (unlike so many other doctors in Manhattan) returns phone calls the same day, and schedules and keeps appointments within a week or two for NON-emergency appointments! Stunning. Wait time? Five minutes at the most. This is nothing short of a miracle for those among us who have bounced hither and yon and wandered for weeks and months trying to find a psychiatrist and make an appointment. I highly recommend her. She's very, very smart, she's highly professional, and she's just a nice person.

I would highly recommend Dr. Calico. I have been to many psychiatrists over the years and I must say that she is by far most knowledgeable of them all. After often being misdiagnosed and mislead into taking unnecessary medications, Dr. Calico really took the time to investigate everything and was able to pin point exact issues. Not to mention conflicting medicines I was prescribed. I also want to stress that it is so rare to come across doctors that actually care for their patients and she is definitely the kind of person who cares for her patients and genuinely wants to help.
