Dr. Nivedita Lakhera, MD

I've worked with Dr. Lakehera for years and she is very knowledgeable and compassionate. Once, I came into my shift and realized one of the patients was deteriorating and the previous nurse, a new grad, hadn't realized some things that were going on. I knew it was shift change for the doctors too but Dr. Lakera answered my page right away, came to the bedside and we got the patient stabilized and sent to ICU. I can't imagine a better doctor by my side as we went through the whole ordeal. Later, when we saw each other on the floor she said, "Allison, I should make a statue of you" and we hugged each other. Emergencies are bound to happen in health care but if you work with great people like Dr. Lakera who you know have your back, truly care, and have the skills and knowledge you can count on, you go home that night still loving the profession and the difference made in a patient's life.

I have know Dr. Nivedita for few years. She is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring physician. She always goes over and beyond to take care of her patient. Excellent physician and update with current medical literature. Above all she is a great human being. I would easily trust her taking caring for me and my family.

Dr. Nivedita is the the most kind, caring, compassionate physician I have come across. She went above and beyond and took care of me even after her work hours. She has a great fund of medical knowledge and was able to diagnose my rare condition and was instrumental in my cure and recovery. Dr. Nivedita is extremely thorough and is immensely gifted. It may not be obvious to folks not from the field of medicine but some early symptoms could be common between a benign illness and what could turn out to be a serious condition. Sometimes the difference in saving a life is in triaging those cases to the actual root cause as quickly as possible. That’s the reason Dr. Nivedita makes sure to get as much data as possible to make a timely correct diagnosis. Precisely why she ended up saving my life too. While some local doctor didn’t think much of my symptoms, Dr. Nivedita got all the relevant testing done to be absolutely sure and correctly root caused my illness resulting in timely treatment before my condition could deteriorate further. A true angel in white coat, saving lives, I have the utmost regard for her and would trust her with my life.

I have known this Dr now for about 5 months. Her hard work and dedication is top of the line. She is so passionate about her patients and then are they deserve. She has been struggling front line caring for covid patients selflessly during this whole pandemic. Its great to have Drs like her we can turn to for help when it's needed knowing you are in safe hands.

I have known Dr. Nivedita Lakhera, hospitalist as a fellow professional health care provider for more than 3 yrs now. I have personally witnessed her selfless dedication towards patient care. She has gone above and beyond to care for patients in her service by responding to nursing staff calls and showing up at the hospital even though she is done with her shift. She left family dinner at 8:30 pm to take care if a young patient in distress when nurses could not get hold of the doctoron call. She has stayed back in the ICU till 3 am to take care of unstable patient when her shift ended at 7 pm. She has diagnosed and treated complex cases which even the subspecialists have missed. She diagnosed Moya Moya disease under her service which was missed by neurologist and patient was going to be discharged. If it was not for Dr.Lakhera advocating for her patients and doing the right work up, that patient could have had serious disabling outcome. That young patient who underwent Moya Moya… surgery at Stanford is so thankful to Dr.Lakhera for saving her life and is doing well. Dr. Lakhera's years of experience in medical field, her passion to save lifes and heal and staying current with medical data and evidence has certainly made her one of the brightest in the field. I wish her the very best.
