Dr. Nivedita Nagam, MD

Prompt attention- very friendly receptionist and assistant! Doctor took plenty of time to listen and ask questions- not rushed at all.

This was my first visit with Dr. Nagam and my overall experience was very good. I was concerned to see her because of previous reviews but I was in a lot of pain so I desperately needed some relief. The entire staff were very friendly and I found Dr. Nagam very professional. She listened to my questions and concerns and addressed them all. She gently administered cortisone shots in my hips and by the next morning I felt so much better!! She told me if I had any other issues or concerns to just call them. I can't speak for others but my experience was very good and I will continue to see her if the need arises!!

She doesn't listen to her patients, ended up with a huge bill which I wanted answers for. She called back rude and snarky and absolutely no bedside manners! Told me to go somewhere else if I wasn't happy which I certainly should have done. Now I know why the wait time was shorter in Sikeston.

I was referred to her office by my dermatologist in Cape for the short wait time. Well, now I know why. She ordered a full panel of tests which I feel were unnecessary. Was never advised and ended up with a huge bill and no conclusion to the questions my dermatologist was looking for. When I called back to have explainations on my bill and extra testing, I was told she had no time to justify herself. That she didn't appreciate having to call and have to answer questions. I was told if I wasn't happy with the billing then to go somewhere else. Which I should have done in the first place. I would definitely suggest going to Cape or Poplar Bluff they certainly have better manners!

She's a nice lady but doesn't (seem) to listen to her patients or care enough about what they say . I've been on Tramadol for back pain that is at times unbearable. Unbearable to the point of crippling. She reduced my Tramdol from 3 a day to 2 a day and refused to give me a 3 month script which I have always had. I drive 50 miles round trip to get scripts filled and I have quite a few of them. . So I always get 3 months worth. She didn't even discuss reducing my pain meds. If you take Tramadol you know it does very little to help severe pain. DR's now treat patients as if they are drug abusers and you can't get pain med's. I had both knees replaced at the same time. I have had both hips replaced and back surgery and NEVER did I become addicted to pain med's or abuse them and I was on the hard stuff. They never made me feel high, they never made me feel good..( they just helped the pain) I would never abuse them. I will not go to a Dr that treats me like this. At 70 yrs old I think I… know my body and needs more then she does ( she's my new Dr. ) My former Dr retired. So I am giving her a low rating. Also she didn't do blood work, no suggestion for another pneumonia shot or flu shot. I got that at Express care yesterday.. they asked me and I realized it needed to be done. I am finding a new Dr.
