Dr. Nizamid-Din Berjiss Missaghi, MD

I have had two procedures performed at Doctor's Outpatient Surgical Center; during both, Dr. Missaghi was my anesthesiologist. I've never had a surgery where I was worried about the procedure; I'm always anxious about the anesthesia though. It's scary, having absolutely no control over what happens to you. For my first procedure, Dr. Missaghi was compassionate and understanding. He took the time to explain what was going to happen and reassured me that everything would be fine. When I was scheduling the second surgery with my physician, I specifically requested that Dr. Missaghi be my anesthesiologist. Seeing his face was an immediate comfort because I knew him and I knew that he would take good care of me. For my second surgery, Dr. Missaghi placed the pre-op IV himself. His face was the last thing I saw before I went under and was the first thing I saw when I came back up. When I asked for my husband, Dr. Missaghi went to the waiting room himself and brought my… husband back. I think it's a shame that we can't schedule anesthesiologists like we do other doctors. If we could, I'd definitely schedule Dr. Missaghi every time.

Dr. Missaghi was my anesthesiologist during my colonoscopy procedure. He was very friendly and when he found out my husband is from his native country, we spoke together in his native language, which I speak fluently. That made me very comfortable and relaxed, and took away a lot of apprehension I had about going into the procedure. It was a very pleasant surprise, on a not-so-pleasant day. Thank you, Dr. Missaghi.
