Dr. Noah Solomon Heftler, MD

I was a long-term patient of Dr. Heftler. But when I reached Medicare age, I found out that he does not accept Medicare assignment. Hence I was required to pay the full Medicare approved bill for each visit and then wait 4+ weeks for reimbursement from Medicare. I found another dermatologist who does accept assignment.

I have several dermatologic conditions which are chronic and difficult to treat. Over the years I have seen quite a few New York dermatology offices. All of them were rushed, brusque and focused mainly on cosmetic procedures and worse yet, I was usually scheduled to see a P.A. or some junior associate. I chose Dr Heftler based upon my internists recommendation and because he was on the teaching staff at Cornell University Medical College/New York Presbyterian, the best hospital in new York. Dr. Heftler spent time with me to perform a complete body exam and to come up with the right treatment plan. He was thorough, pleasant, and caring. His office was beautiful and modern and his staff was lovely. I have never waited more than 20 minutes to see him and he always works me into the schedule if my concern is urgent. I was beyond grateful that he participated with my insurance plan. I highly recommend Dr Heftler for any medical, surgical or cosmetic dermatology problem you may have.

The staff is very efficient and accommodating for appointments. The office is very clean and welcoming. Dr. Heftler knows what he is talking about, gets to the root of your problem quickly, and does not make you wait in his office. Would highly recommend him and his staff.

Listen up doctors: this is how you do it. Get patients who have an urgent problem in quickly to see YOU, not a PA or some junior associate! Participate with their insurance plan. Have pleasant staff. Don't keep them waiting too long. Listen to their concerns and be thorough in your evaluation. Make an accurate diagnosis. Get them better and back to work! That is EXACTLY what you will experience with Dr Heftler. No b.s.. No pushing cosmetics. Just the best Dermatology care.

I work for Estee Lauder. I would like to think I know a little about skin care and dermatology problems. Well, when my skin started looking awful just 12 weeks before my wedding I asked around the office and remarkably 5 of the women I work with were all patients of Dr Heftler. Emily, the receptionist was great and got me in quickly. The doc took my insurance. The nurses were really sweet (Hey Denisse!!) Most importantly, I LOVED this doctor! Totally chill. Easy to talk to. Thorough. Made the right call and got me cleared up PRONTO. Big thanks to Doctor Heftler and staff. Y'all were amazing.

I had never had a full skin exam which is probably not a very good idea since I was a lifeguard for over 15 years. When my uncle told me had had recently had a skin cancer removed I decided to make an appointment with Dr Heftler. Filled out a little paperwork, was asked to get undressed and the Doc appears. Checked feet, soles, between toes, legs, back, chest, privates, underarms and face and told me all about the ABCD's of Melanoma. I was amazed at how quickly this all took place but he found what he called an "atypical" mole on my shoulder blade which he suggested I have removed. This was scheduled within the next 48 hours and it turned out to be a malignant melanoma "in situ" which the Doc says is entirely curable. He sent me to another great doc to have it re-excised and that should be the end of it. I am very, very grateful for this and would suggest anyone with alot of sun damage or family history do likewise.

Dr Heftler totally saved me from a disaster. I was 5 days away from my friends' wedding in Chicago when I started to notice a lump on my jawline. Within 2 days the thing grew to the size of a Toyota! A big, nasty mess! My boss suggested I go see Dr Heftler. Called the office and Emily was a sweetheart. Told her about my problem and they got me in right away. The Doc was funny, cool and reassuring. He drained it and told me to warm soak it and it was gone! I am so happy I found this Doctor!!!

The staff here is awful. I had some warts removed. He missed one. I tried to go back in for the 2 min procedure to get rid of it and they said they couldn't see me for an entire week. The Dr. wasn't thorough enough, he rushed through his job, and did it poorly. When I spoke the the receptionist about getting in to fix his mistake she very intelligently explained to me:"Sometimes he doesnt get them all because sometimes that just how it is."
