I went to Pain treatment centers of America for a second opinion on the need for back surgery and to change medication which after 6 years of the same medicine and dosage was no longer working, I was having to take more medicine to get ANY relief at all! After MRI review she determined that yes, I do need another back surgery. Well, on my second visit when I asked her about the surgery and I quote" I don't know what your talking about, what surgery"! O.K. Lost confidence in her. Asked the next 2 visits. No idea. are you serious!! Then received whines as she called it because of medicine count. I walked in that office being honest about the medicine and all but begging her to change it. My medicine was then changed from four (4) a day 10 mil hydrocodone to two (2) 5 milligram Percocet a day and a pain patch ( lowest mil. available) When that didn't work she went back to the hydrocodone 10 mil. I was then back on the same medicine again! Thank you so much for the help!! Made you feel as… if you were drug seeking and not caring enough about her patients to even bother. The epidurals were primitive and very painful. No guidance equipment, just find a spot and stick! Lucky me, to much degeneration so I had to go through a re-stick!!! I received NO help at all, clueless! I had to REMIND the APRN Jaclyn Cooper about the new medicine (Lyrica) and my inability to take it (headaches) She never even asked me if it helped. If you have a choice DON"T choose them!! Go somewhere where you will be heard! There really are people out here who REALLY do need help to function and these people don't care!!
