Dr. Nora Michelle Sang, MD

Warning. Do NOT use Dr. Michelle Sang. You will never have a more impersonal experience. Given her belief that she knows way more than you about how you and your body are feeling, she does not listen to the you. You will feel completely irrelevant. Her bedside manner is horrific. She never makes eye contact, instead she types frantically the entire visit. Be prepared to read a novel about every possible supplement that is in the slightest way related to what she believes your issues are. Although, any possible explanation will not be discussed with the patient. You are expected to read the novel and tease out information that might be relevant. She also claims to be a total care doctor. I assure you nothing about her care confirms such a bold statement. Look elsewhere.

Beware. I’ve worked in tough environments such as jails and inpatient psych and have skills to deal with conflict. Dr. Sang’s attitude was dismissive and curt. Her f a t phobia is glaring and in no way was her approach trauma informed which is genuinely surprising given the sheer nature of working with women’s bodies. Hard pass.

I told Dr. Sang that I was concerned about my cycles occuring frequently (15-18 days apart), and becoming very heavy. I told her I'm starting to pass large blood clots and that my mom had cysts removed from her ovaries at my age. She said it was unlikely that I had cysts because I only have heavy periods every other month. But she ordered an ultrasound. During the scan the technician showed me the cyst on my right ovary from multiple angles, and explained that the radiologist would need to review the scan and make a formal diagnosis and recommendation to my doctor. Imagine my surprise when I received a VM from Dr. sangs nurse informing me, "Dr. Sang reviewed your ultrasound last night and wanted me to let you know that everything is totally normal. So nothing wrong with the ovaries, tubes, or uterus". I asked my Gen. Practitioner to review the ultrasound and I found out that the radiologist noted the cyst and had recommended a follow up screening. Dr. (Nora) Michelle Sang may not… have agreed I need a follow up, but she lied to save a 5 min phone call to a patient. Please note that Dr. Nora Sang is also Dr. Michelle Sang. I believe she is seeking to be known professionally as Nora Sang now to hide the long list of troubling patient reviews found when you search under Dr. Michelle Sang.

We had an excellent experience with Dr. Sang. She walked us through our first pregnancy with ease, care and consideration. I felt very supported and looked forward to our visits. We had minor complications arise in week 38 of our pregnancy and had to induce, and Dr. Sang managed everything beautifully.
