Dr. Norman Bruce Edgerton, MD

TERRIBLE DOCTOR!! Prescribed medication that I am extremely allergic too, and my allergy and reactions were noted in my paperwork. We specifically talked about a certain medicine I had been on before and that it did not help and had terrible reactions and that I did not want to get back on that medicine. So he wrote me a prescription for the same pill just a different generic brand name. Could of caused a deathly reaction. This man should’ve been out of his practice 20 years ago! Extremely misinformed on all current medications, and more than half of my visit was him searching on google. Anybody can use google, if you have to google your way through an entire appointment, you’re not a doctor.

Dr. Edgerton is very knowledgeable with everything to do with his specialty. He was able to diagnose all my issues and help greatly! I thank him so much for all he does for his patients including me.

Arrived at 718am for a 830am procedure - at 920am still no bed avaialble at the Tampa Bay Endoscopy thus the wait - unprofessional in communicating this wait time - thus I had no choice but to leave and not have my procedure done.

CNA staff speaks to patients like they are children....honey, sugar, darling, etc. instead of addressing by name. I told the CNA I am a professional retired woman and I am not her sugar, darling, etc. She replied that she calls all of her patients by pet names. Oy vey!

Took me two months to get an appointment. Once I got my appointment, my blood pressure was high, was having problems with my throat . He didn't address the fact that my blood pressure was high you never look at my throat or even touched me. He told mehe would see me in three months. Haven't been back.

Both of my parents and I have used Dr. Edgerton. He is thorough and detailed, something that most doctors don't have time for in this day and age. I wish all my doctors were like him.

Great staff! Very friendly and prompt 100% recommended Dr. Edgerton - highly experienced in his field. A+++

Although the doctor is wonderful, the staff is anything but. The office manager Eva is as unprofessional as an office manager you'd expect to see at a fast food restaurant. The younger nurse who I believe is named Lena, is rude. I will not be coming back. I had given the office many chances, but after my third appointment, I'd rather not be in that kind of environment. Snooty staff doesn't match the kindness of the doctor.

Although the doc is quite kind and so is the majority of the staff, the nurse is all but professional. She takes your blood pressure in a seemingly rushed/incorrect manor and while the doctor talks, she seems to be very uninterested and has an "I Don't Care" attitude. I thought I'd give her a chance, thinking she was having a bad day, but she was the same during my follow up. She slams the paper that has instructions for the front desk lady to do (both visits) and gives me the impression that she doesn't want to be there. It's a shame because the front desk lady you can tell tries hard and cares about the patient's care. I have not had interaction with the other two ladies to form an opinion on. I feel bad in writing this review but the nurse really makes my experience not as good as it should be.

Dr. Bruce Edgerton helped me a lot with some stomach issues I was having and is a great doctor in the tampa bay community. Thanks so much!
