Dr. Norman Brian Gaylis, MD

GAYLIS IS A DISGRACE TO MEDICINE AND AS A MAN. HE DIAGNOSED ME WITH WEGENERS GRANULOMATOSIS AND TREATED ME EXTENSIVELY WITH CHEMO AND STEROIDS. AFTER HE DISCOVERED HE MADE A MISTAKE HE DIDNT TELL ME AND DISCHARGED ME BACK TO MY PCP LUIZA SZTERN WHO COVERED FOR HIM AND THEN SHE DISCHARGED ME NO EXPLANATION.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gaylis for 3 years now. I have 2 rare diseases that Dr Gaylis has been able to control, allowing me to no longer be bed ridden! His medical staff is excellent which includes his research side of the practice! The front desk staff are very professional and polite! Dr, Gaylis has given me some resemblance of life again.

Dr. Gaylis is serious, and to the point. I like this about him. Good and helpful staff.

This is an obnoxious man. He spoke to me in an whiney and condescending manner when asked about a drug he wanted to prescribe me. I was disgusted and angered at the same time. He does not answer any questions and barely looks at you. He is rude. This office appears to be a mill. This doctor is a dinosaur. The few minutes he spends with you will mostly be him speaking into a voice recorder. After one visit he orders MRIs, second visit says there is nothing, no follow up, gives me my records, bye

I’ve been his patient for 10’years. I have never been mistreated by any of his very friendly staff. Maybe some people get the treatment they give out. Dr Gaylis is serious. Maybe people take him the wrong way, but he’s trying to save YOUR life. People should be HAPPY that he is serious. He’s not there to hold your hand and give you jelly beans. He gives you the tools to help yourself, but it’s up to YOU to use them. Please don’t disrespect my Dr. He is one of the leaders in his fried.

One only needs to spend 5 minutes, sitting in their dumpy waiting room listening to how rudely the staff speaks to the patients to get a clear understanding of how rude and incompetent are the office staff. Tragically poor communication from the office staff with their doctor. LUCIA and the office administrator, RICK, specifically. Phone calls are not returned, medication administered haphazardly, RUDE staff. Unfortunately, they cause patients to suffer due to their incompetence. I went several months without the proper medication simply because the staff would not take the time to communicate to the doctor. Appointments were cancelled the day of on several occasions by the incompetent staff. Dr. Yglesias, himself, was lovely. I was saddened to need to move on to a different doctor because I liked Dr. Yglesias., but not worth the torture of his office staff...I have moved onto Dr. Sweeney and he is GREAT! The single star reflects the doctor's ability to reign in his… administrative staff and my overall experience with his office staff. They really do not seem to care for their job, or for helping people. Lucia and Rick are not in a profession that complements their personalities. They cause the doctor to teeter on a fine line of medical malpractice...

Outstanding physician, prompt, honest, professional, very knowledgable, and concerned. Medical care in S Florida is below par compared to former residency state of Ca., but this M.D. functions at superior level.

The best in his field! Saved me more times than I can count. Been my doctor since 1987. Personality of a man who has much knowledge in his field.

The most knowledgible rheumatologist in the south dade county area
