Dr. Norman Joseph Kahan, MD

Dr. Kahan made us wait for him almost an hour. He then showed up in the patient's room expressing no apology for the wait. Moreover, he was accompanied by a young women who was apparently shadowing him for some unknown reason. He never introduced the woman to us or asked for the patient's permissions to allow a stranger to be in a patient room. The stranger didn't have any attributes of a healthcare worker such as a hospital gown or identification badge. During the examination, Dr. Kahan asked a question and while the patient was formulating the answer, Dr. Kahan became inpatient and rude by exclaiming "It was a Yes or No". I am also a healthcare professional and within my career I had never witnessed such an unprofessional attitude.

The worst doctor I have ever been to. You can wait up to an hour on the table writhing in pain with your clothes off. You can't ask a civil question in as much pain as you are in without being answered to as if you are a blithering idiot. I was to have an epidural yesterday after vomiting Prednisone for 12 days, his office called to ask what I had taken within 5 days. I told them; it was 4 days, THEY DID NOT CANCEL THE SCHEDULED SURGERY, so I was in pre-op with an IV for 3.5 hours when he came up to me on the gurney, verbally lambasted me in front of the whole room and sent me home. I now have an appointment with a doctor who cares.

Arrogant, office appointments can be over an hour wait. Ridiculous! He's not worth the wait. He thinks your time is not important!

Dr. Kahan is wonderful, easy to talk to , very knowledgeable and very willing to work with you on different treatments to resolving a problem.

I have seen him for years and am very pleased with his treatment. My chronic back pain is better . He is the kind of doctor I had in my youth . He's caring and patient with me and Always takes time to listen during my appointments. Highly recomend him if you need help.

I see all these low rating reviews and I don't get it. Dr. Kahan is an absolute pleasure to be with, yes... he's usually running behind schedule. But what good doctor isn't behind schedule? His music and singing whilst performing surgery gave me a lot of confidence in this guy, he's very relaxed and concerned how you are feel throughout the entire procedure. His staff is always courteous, know my name, and why I'm there. He takes voice recorded notes of your progress, not many docs do that. He's got a great sense of humor to help keep a light atmosphere.

Provided absolutely no meaningful insight or diagnosis whatsoever. A really inept doctor. Runs multiple clinics, was late for appointment more than once, did not bother spend time listening. Really pompous, refuses to listen. Showed no signs of any skills of diagnosis.

Not the brightest guy, he is rude and screams at patients. Stay away.

This was the worst experience I have ever had and I work with doctors daily never seen one yell at their patient and tell them their pain was in their head.Made me cry.didnt listen at all seemed to be a fraud doctor not about the well being of his patients only the payday.Stay away wish I had. thanks

This man does not listen to his patient. He follows a set agenda of how to make more money and will give condescending lip service when told his methods are not helping. Self centered. Stay away.
