Dr Norman Latov is very attentive and thorough.

Misdiagnosed origin so it took 3 yrs more to find a suitable therapy with another doctor. Don't waste your time and money.

Worst medical office visit ever. This famed doctor is utterly uninterested in providing care. He failed to follow up on the tests he ordered, asked me nothing about what was going on with me, had nothing to offer in the way of treatment or even in exploring new research with me, was arrogant and unconcerned and smirked as I finally left in frustration. Be warned!

TERRIBLE, Knowledgeable but misdiagnosed me.

The staff was very professional. Dr Latov spent time with me and answered all my questions.

I had a pretty lousy experience with Dr. Latov. After waiting 5 months for the appointment, I had to wait 40 minutes in the waiting room before anyone took me back. When I started talking to Dr. Latov, he couldn’t hear me despite my yelling and was getting confused while I was explaining things chronologically, making me repeat things multiple times. He never reviewed my medical history or questioned me on any of my existing conditions or medications. When I told him I was recently diagnosed with a form of arthritis by a top rheumatologist (for which I am taking weekly shots for), he said “everyone has a bit of arthritis.” Um, no they don’t! How dismissive, especially as a woman who had spent the better part of 10 years in daily pain over this. After a short physical examination, Dr. Latov told me there’s nothing he can do for me, he doesn’t know who could do anything, and said “you’re young so maybe they’ll come up with a medical solution in your lifetime.” WHAT! I just don’t get… it. I told him I take a lot of Advil for pain and it can’t be good for me so I asked him for suggestions, and he said he had nothing for me and he couldn’t help me at all. ????? He literally offered to suggestions, guidance, or knowledge of any kind. This is Weill Cornell, supposed to be one of the best, and I have gotten better care at a CityMD. Dr. Latov is very dismissive and probably one of the worst doctors I’ve seen.

He's a very knowledgeable doctor and he has awareness and access to testing you won't find at other neurologists. But he has a terrible bedside manner and very little empathy. You always get the sense he is rushing through your appointment. He never responds to questions you are supposed to be able to send through their email portal. And he has surprisingly little insights on the best treatments available once he evaluates your condition. He would be much better working in a lab than interacting with patients. If you like spending $400-600 for 20 minute appointments he is the guy for you. Otherwise, you will likely get better care elsewhere.

I went to Latov by referral. He gave me an order for a skin punch biopsy for small fiber neuropathy (autonomic neuropathy) which I was positive. Peripheral neuropathy can be associated with Agent Orange. He sent me the results NEVER CALLED. I called his office to determine my next step or ask for advice. He never uttered a word. I wasn’t even sure if he was breathing. My autonomic dysfunction has lead me to seek other gastroenterologist and neurologist. Thanks for nothing from a veteran who served this country and is seeking help with peripheral neuropathy which may have been caused by AO.

STAY AWAY FROM FROM THIS GUY- Positive reviews must be from his family, friends girlfriend- Read the reviews as noted above, overall rating poor, has no idea what non-diabetic neuropathy is WHERE ARE YOU ROBYN S. SILVERSTEIN, NY PRESBYTERIAN PATIENT SERVICE ADMINISTRATOR-"WHERE IS THE "MYSTERY SHOPPER" ?? Just keep writing your apology letters to his patients . DON'T TAKE ACTION YOU MAY LOOSE YOUR JOB!!!- BUREAUCRACY WINS !!!
