Dr. Norman Saldua Novis, MD

I am a former patient and am thrilled not to part of the picture. Initially Dr. Novis was great and right on target with me medically. But as his practice grew, I became less satisfied. On more than one occasion, the PA came in the room. Said my appointment was with the doctor. In some cases I'm okay, but not in this. Not only could I not understand her but also felt she wouldn't be in sync with my medical history and needs. And the topper was one of the front-desk people. She had the meanest streak and was beyond rude. The last time I was checking out, she accused me of posting something extremely negative on her face book page. Am convinced the story was fabricated. How in the heck can I post something to someone's face book page if I don't even know their last name? A friend mentioned that her face book page could have been hacked, but I still believe she was just being evil.

Dr. N. Novis is the best Family Doctor that I have ever had.

Dr. Novis has been my doctor for years. I even followed him from another practice. I really love his personality and his knowledge. His office staff, on the other hand, leaves much to be desired. Here are a couple of examples. I requested my medical record regarding a specific issue. When I picked up the record (a week after it was supposed to be ready), they had given me someone else's record! Just recently, my blood work went missing. I had to have it all redone. Those are just a couple of recent incidents. There have been others. I love Dr. Novis, but he really needs to invest in better office staff. I have thought about switching doctors MANY TIMES because of this issue.

When you are made to wait TWO hours to be seen for an APPOINTMENT you realize the practice has zero consideration for their patients. This is not a one time occurance but rather repeated situation. Doctor apologizes as he said, “again” but clearly he is maxed out with patients.

Truly seems to care about his patients, and treats them with the utmost respect. Dr. Novis is thorough, knowledgeable, and very kind. I trust his judgement, and I feel blessed that we found Dr. Novis

I have been to see Dr. Novis 4 times. I have walked out 2 of those times because I sat in the waiting room for an hour past my appointment time. They seem to have an different excuse for this each time I am there. I was there today and the waiting room was packed and I sensed a lot of frustration with the patients. I feel it is total disrespect for my time and will not go back again. It will only get worse!!

I love Dr. Novis, However I can't say the same for his staff. He has a Web page where patients can access health records and many other features. I access the messages site and sent a message for them to send a scrip to Lab Corp for my blood work. I arrive at Lab Corp for my appointment and they said they did not have a scrip for me. I call Dr. Novis's office and they said they would fax my scrip right away. After waiting more than 30 min I called them again and was told the Fax machine was down. This is the second time this has happened to me. Another time I showed up at his office on an appointment and was told he was at a conference and I would have to re-schedule my appointment. Another time they were trying to charge me for seeing the Doctor which I hadn't seen. I could go on but would run out of space. Tony Veiga

My first visit was great. I met with Dr. Novis and had a very good impression of him, subsequent visits, however, were not so great. Today I had an appointment for a "wellness checkup" at 2:30 p.m. I left at 3:40 p.m. without getting to see anyone. The waiting room was full with 16 patients . People came in after me were being seen before me. It's a mill were volume is key. Over booking with no regard to patients time.

Super perplexed. Phone call this morning wanting to know if they reached AEROCARE (a supplier of oxygen equipment). Don't know how they got my current phone number. I stopped seeing Dr. Novis over a year ago and have moved out of the area almost a year ago. This doctor and office staff never cease to amaze me negatively. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!
