He then proceeded to the prestigious Johns Hopkins University where he obtained the Master of Public Health degree. He completed his general surgery residency training at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA; and fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Georgia Colon and Rectal Surgical Clinic, Atlanta, GA. He is currently a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
