Dr. Nurun Nahar Khandaker, MD

My experience started off pleasant with Dr. Khandaker and her office, as long as I came in regularly for visits paid my copays and they were able to bill my insurance. I got an overhaul of check up's done last year (2018) and due to being relatively healthy I do not need to be seen often for items such as chronic migraines. I had not been seen for over a year but had been filling my migraine medication at a pharmacy during that gap time. Apparently an unknown doctor had authorized my last prescription/refills that I was not aware of. I was under the impression that Dr. Khandaker's office was the authorizing office as she was my primary doctor. When my pharmacy faxed a request for a refill authorization she denied my request stating I will need to come in and be seen (for something I have been seen for multiple times in the past and nothing would happen except a chance for her office to bill my insurance and a paper prescription given.) Being a military spouse during my time under her… care I am not always local and can not jump up for a office visit over a chronic issue that has been established. Furthermore, When I called to explain that I had been receiving refills throughout the entire year her front desk attendant used an accusatory tone as if I was lying. She refused to let me speak to the doctor and promised to call back by the end of the day with an update and did not. Additionally, the front desk staff proceeded to inform me that I had a "new doctor" and I told her no that can't be true. She listed off a doctor's name who requested my records a few months back, but I informed her he was a fertility specialist my husband and I had been working with and that he is not a primary doctor and her tone suggested she didn't believe that either. Even though I'm sure in my chart that fertility issues are mentioned. I am extremely disappointed with this provider and her front desk staff, the treatment of her patients only amounts to how much the office can bill.

friendly and courteous. She cares for my health and does a thorough work up. Cares a lot about my diabetes

She was fast and efficient and handled my needs properly, I would strongly recommend this doctor!

Dr. Khandaker is an outstanding physician.
