Dr. Nushin Sherkat, MD

Dr. Sherkat has been my family practitioner for about a year. She always makes me feel comfortable, never judgemental, and makes it as easy as possible to get in and out. I’ve seen her for both check-ups and for patient care and she is the very best.

Beware if you have high deductible insurance! I do not have any serious medical condition and cannot judge how good Dr. Sherkat Nushin is as a professional. But I have a great concern how she treats her patients in terms of billing. I was out of my medications and submit a request for refill to Dr. Sherkat Nushin as my primary physician, using Scripps messaging. Next day I was contacted by her nurse. The nurse said than I haven’t been seen by the doctor for about two years and Dr. wants to see me. When I came to her office I clarified that the visit is considered as check up one. I have high deductible insurance which covers only preventive procedures, and I do not have any reasons to visit doctor office but routine check up. After she spent five minutes with me, she gave a referral for routing lab tests. In couple months I was badly surprised when I get bills from both her office and lab. My visit was billed and “follow up” and lab tests were not considered as preventive. I still… have no idea “follow what” was my visit. I tried to communicate with a billing department and Dr. Sherkat Nushin office regarding correct coding. They did not want to hear me. They said that it would be a fraud to resubmit claim to insurance with corrected codes but they did not consider as a fraud how they treat me.

Hi everyone, I am her new patient and my name is Francia. I was just surprised with the negative comments of other patients about her in another link and I beg to disagree. I find her so accommodating and efficient in what she does. She took care of my needs right away called in the offices I need to go to. I hope you give her the chance to prove to you that she is a good doctor.

Dr Sherkat has treated my family and I for more than one year. She has done an exceptional job since replacing our retired family doctor.We would recommend her to everyone in need of a family practitioner.
