Having relocated to Florida, I have recently had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Ilonzo, and I cannot express how grateful I am for the exceptional care I received. Dr. Ilonzo is not just a physician; she is fully a partner in healthcare who goes above and beyond in every aspect relating to patient care. One of Dr. Ilonzo’s standout qualities is her outstanding communication. From the moment she walked into the exam room, I felt heard and valued as a patient. At my first appointment, it was clear that she had taken the time to thoroughly read the medical history I had provided prior to the appointment. With her focus 110% completely directed upon me, she took the time to listen to my concerns, answer all of my questions, and explain my condition and treatment options in a clear and understandable manner. Dr. Ilonzo has never rushed through an appointment, nor failed to ensure that all my questions have been fully answered, providing me with full confidence that my personal health… was her top priority. However, what truly sets Dr. Ilonzo apart is her exceptional empathy. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about her patients' well-being: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. During the most stressful and challenging time for me personally, Dr. Ilonzo showed a sensitivity to my fears and anxieties, always offering a reassuring hand and a comforting word, to go along with the medical guidance when needed. Dr. Ilonzo has made me feel like I am more than just a medical case; translating into an environment where my feelings and concerns held importance alongside proper treatment protocol. To complete the physician-patient treatment process, Dr. Ilonzo’s follow-up remains impeccable. She ensured I understood my treatment plan (which included visits to other specialists) and medications and encouraged me to reach out with any questions or concerns at any time. In total, Dr. Ilonzo is an exceptional physician who embodies the qualities we all wish for in a healthcare provider, but seldom find (especially all in one package/person): excellent communication, genuine empathy, and patient dedication.

Not only is she kind and compassionate, her knowledge and quickness to research and use that research to help a patient is unparalleled. I would love for her to provide my primary care. If you are lucky enough to see her as an adult, or for her to see your child; you will obtain amazing and intelligent care with an outcome that either treats/heals your condition, or an explication of the next steps to take if she is unable to deliver the results that both of you were hoping to obtain.
